Sewing for Strays Morrill Memorial Library

Event:
Sewing for Strays returns in 2018, sponsored by Sewstainability of Together Yes. Stop by the library between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to make comfort quilts and toys for rescued and surrendered animals at the Neponset Valley Humane Society--a local, no-kill organization. This initiative is open to anyone 12 and over as there will be pins, steam irons, sewing machines, and scissors on the tables. No sewing experience is necessary. Only a few people will sew while others will measure and cut, pin, stuff, and clip threads. If you can't stay, feel free to leave some snacks for the volunteers. By day's end, the goal is to have made 100 washable pet quilts and toys. No registration is necessary, but for more information email sustain@tgryes.org.
